Resource Roundup for Busy Parents - December 2023

As a busy mom and entrepreneur, I've spent some time trying out products and services that help me make the most of time, while enjoying life along the way.  This month, I've got the inside scoop on some game-changing resources that have been absolute lifesavers in my hectic world this holiday season.

What to Wear

First up on my list of must-haves is the Frump Fighter's What to Wear Outfit Calendar. Let's be real—getting dressed in the morning shouldn't be a struggle. This calendar not only helps you put together stylish outfits quickly but also tackles decision fatigue head-on. For busy women who work outside the home (or just prefer a more polished look), the Business edition of the What to Wear Calendar is a great option too. It guides you through building a capsule wardrobe and provides 365 ready-to-wear outfit ideas for every day. Trust me, this has revolutionized my morning routine. And here's a little gift for you—use code KellyB to save on your next Frump Fighters purchase.

If you're building or refreshing that capsule wardrobe—I swear by ThredUp. It's like the lovechild of an eco-friendly thrift store and the convenience of online shopping. The perfect combo for busy moms like us. And here's a sweet deal: save on your first order by using my link. You'll thank me later!

Stay Healthy and Hydrated

For those of us who are health and fitness enthusiasts (or at least trying to be), I've got a secret weapon—LMNT electrolyte mix. This sugar-free powder is a game-changer for staying hydrated throughout the day. Trust me; it's like a burst of energy in a glass, perfect for powering through our jam-packed schedules. And if you deal with POTS like I do, this is an easy way to boost your salt and water intake too!

Hobbies and Free Time

Now that you're well-dressed and fully hydrated, let's talk free-time.  I know you don't have a lot of it, which is why I like to save as much time as possible here.  A few years ago I found Book of the Month, and it's the one subscription box I don't think I'll ever cancel. I love that it makes it easy for me to meet my reading goals, provides a screen-free escape from reality, and eliminates decision fatigue when deciding what to read. Plus, it's cheaper than picking up a full-priced hardcover at the store! Every month they give you five choices, so you're sure to find an option that suits your taste, without entering into decision-overwhelm territory. Minimal effort, maximum enjoyment. It's saved me both time and money, making it a no-brainer for fellow moms. (And they recently added audiobook options too!) I loved the choices for December so much I chose two - The Kingdom of Sweets by Erika Johnson, and A Winter in New York by Josie Silver.  These holiday-themed books seem VERY different based on their synopsis, and I can't wait to dive into them.  Last month I read The River We Remember by William Kent Krueger and gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.  I couldn't put it down, a great cozy mystery with characters you'll miss long after the books ends.
